Snooker’s UK Championship saw a significant increase in viewership, with figures being featured on BBC and EUROSPORT.
The UK Championship final on BBC attracted 2.6 million viewers, up 59% from 2022. The final evening gained 13.5% audience share across BBC and UK Eurosport, with a 35% increase in total audience across BBC and UK Eurosport. The round two match between Mark Selby and Barry Hawkins was the highest ever UK Championship audience on Eurosport UK, driving the best average audience since 2020.
BBC’s 15-minute snooker show reached 8.6 million viewers, up from 7.2 million in 2022. Online viewing requests increased to 6.1 million from 4.5 million in 2022. WST’s YouTube and Facebook channels saw 1.5 million video views, a 28% increase from 2022. WST Chairman Steve Dawson
