A second person of interest has been arrested in connection with the murder of Detroit synagogue president Samantha Woll. Woll, 40, was found stabbed to death outside her home in Lafayette Park on October 21. Police found no signs of forced entry into her residence and believe she was stabbed inside her home before making her way out to her yard. A suspect was arrested on November 8 but was later released on November 11. Detroit Police Chief James White stated that evidence suggests the crime was not motivated by antisemitism. Woll, who led the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue since 2022, had previously served on Congresswoman Elissa Slotkin’s team. Additional information will be released in the near future.
