Report: Cincinnati Bengals Begin Contract Talks With Wanted Star

According to CBS, the Bengals’ NFL free agency move was among their best.

Cincinnati signed a young player for an extremely affordable price.

This year, the Cincinnati Bengals created yet another major stir in free agency. To help cover gaps on the current roster, the Bengals added players like Trent Brown, Vonn Bell, Sheldon Rankins, Mike Gesicki, Geno Stone, and Zack Moss.

One free agency acquisition has received significant attention from CBS Sports. CBS Sports called the addition of Geno Stone one of the best NFL Free Agency decisions made this year. Stone’s trade to the Bengals ranked third among the five best transactions ever made.

The former Iowa standout Stone fought his way to a respectable salary after the Ravens selected him in the seventh round of the 2020 draft. Before participating in all 17 games in 2022 and 2023, he participated in 15 games in 2021. The former Raven had an outstanding 2023, recording 68 tackles and an NFL-high seven interceptions (for a safety). Stone was a fantastic addition to the Bengals, providing much-needed veteran support in the secondary.
