JUV 0-0 MCI: Check Out The Worst Players For Manchester City In The First Half Of The UCL Match

In the first half of the UEFA Champions League match between Juventus and Manchester City, the visiting team struggled to assert their usual dominance, despite having the lion’s share of possession (66%). Several Manchester City players underperformed, leaving the game deadlocked at 0-0 by halftime.

Jack Grealish was among the most criticized for his lack of creativity and impact on the left flank. His attempts to penetrate the Juventus defense were largely unsuccessful, and he failed to create meaningful opportunities. Erling Haaland also disappointed, failing to convert the few chances City managed to generate, as Juventus defenders, particularly Danilo and Gatti, kept him under tight control. Additionally, Kevin De Bruyne’s influence was muted, as he struggled to link up effectively with the forward line or break Juventus’ defensive structure.

Defensively, Kyle Walker and Manuel Akanji appeared vulnerable to Juventus’ counter-attacks. While City maintained better ball control, their backline occasionally left gaps that Juventus nearly exploited, highlighting a lack of coordination in transition.

Overall, the first half reflected a disjointed performance by City, with key players unable to perform at their usual high standards, making it difficult for the team to capitalize on their possession advantage.
