Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase will miss time due to a separate shoulder injury.
The Cincinnati Bengals, currently in playoff contention without their starting quarterback, will face additional challenges as their star wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, is expected to miss Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a separated shoulder, and there’s a possibility of further sideline issues.
Chase sustained a shoulder injury in a Minnesota Vikings victory, and his status has been updated to week-to-week. The Bengals (8-6) have experienced a resurgence with backup Jake Browning leading them to three consecutive wins, including two overtime victories, after quarterback Joe Burrow was ruled out for the season.
The Bengals will rely on Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to replace two-time Pro Bowl receiver Chase, who leads the team with 93 receptions, 1,156 yards, and seven touchdowns.
