An enraged Malcolm Brogdon is not a major issue for the Boston Celtics
Malcolm Brogdon is an earnest individual. He mentioned back in 2016 that as a junior at Virginia, he thought about what he wanted to do next, whether it was to put his name in the NBA draft or come back to the Cavaliers for his final year. He had studied a bit, so he decided to return to school.
At the time, Brogdon claimed to have done extensive study on the men who stayed, the men who departed, and the kinds of programs they returned to and abandoned. And I’ve since discovered that, while getting my master’s degree was important to me in terms of continuing my education, I also felt that I didn’t complete enough coursework in college and that I still had more to do.
And he did, having carefully assessed the circumstances. As a senior, Brogdon won the ACC Player of the Year award, and Virginia advanced to the Elite 8 in the NCAA tournament. The Cavs finished in the Top 6 for the third consecutive season, with Brodyon finishing as the team’s top scorer each time. The Cavs were ranked No. 4 in the final AP poll.
Now thirty years old, Brogdon is a Boston Celtics player who is starting his second season in the organization. He is still as dedicated as he was as a modest graduate student, and veteran Boston Globe reporter Gary Washburn reports that he is upset with the organization for almost dealing him this offseason in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis.
