Texas’s Austin Steve Sarkisian, the head football coach at the University of Texas, has consented to a four-year contract extension.
Following some conjecture that Sarkisian may join the NFL or take the job at Alabama in lieu of retiring Nick Saban, the news was made.
Last year, Sarkisian guided the UT football team to its greatest season in fifteen years. The squad made its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance and earned its first Big 12 championship since 2009.
