After being considered by a number of teams, Brisbane Broncos back Tristan Sailor is very close to signing with Leigh Leopards of the Super League.

The 25-year-old, who had a protracted absence from the game towards the conclusion of his tenure at the Dragons due to off-field issues, is still bound to Red Hill for the upcoming year.

He took advantage of his QLD Cup form when given the chance to play at the first-grade level and participated in a few games when Reece

He will be coached by Adrian Lam at the Leopards, where he will be reunited with former Sydney Roosters playmaker Lachlan Lam and foreign quota players Tom Amone, John Asiata, Edwin Ipape, Ricky Leutele, Matt Moylan, Ben Nakubuwai, and Kai O’Donnell. The transfer is expected to be announced soon.

Following Sailor’s July contract extension signing, Broncos coach Kevin Walters called him a “real footballer.”

Walters stated, “Since joining us at the beginning of the preseason, Tristan has been really impressive. He is a real footballer and he has worked hard and is now reaping the rewards for that dedication.”

“He has been exhibiting incredible footwork in the Cup.”
