Jersey Flegg Cup Round 9 match preview: Bulldogs versus.
On Friday night at Belmore Sports Ground, the Wests Tigers take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in Round 9 of the Jersey Flegg Cup.
The Tigers, who are in second place, are hoping to win four games in a row after defeating the Storm last weekend at Campbelltown. After defeating the Silktails 60-0 last week, the Bulldogs are currently third on the standings with one fewer game played than the Wests Tigers, who have five victories and two losses.
In other team news, hooker Bailey Hodges, who is coming back from a week out (HIA), will help the Wests Tigers. Tom Fisher, Vaka Aho, and Kobie Wilson are also hoping to make a comeback from recent injuries. Max Taotua is back in the centers, where he made his debut against the Dragons in Round 6 and scored two goals.
The guys’ efforts and the outcome have truly impressed me, and this is a testament to the players’ dedication. We’re playing the premiers from last year, who are also in form, so facing them on Friday will be a great test for us. Our goal is to build on our previous few weeks’ work and let our football speak for itself.
