The official poster for Ballerina, a spinoff from the John Wick universe, has been released, featuring Ana de Armas as Rooney, a ballerina-turned-assassin seeking revenge. Directed by Len Wiseman and written by Shay Hatten and Emerald Fennell, the film is set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. This timeline allows familiar characters like Keanu Reeves’ John Wick, Ian McShane’s Winston, Anjelica Huston’s Director, and the late Lance Reddick’s Charon to return to the story.
In Ballerina, Rooney undergoes rigorous training under the Ruska Roma’s assassin traditions. The cast also includes franchise newcomers like Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne, and Catalina Sandino Moreno in undisclosed roles, adding depth to the spinoff. This marks another addition to the John Wick franchise’s expansion, following the prequel series The Continental.
