Just Now: Louisville man charged with attempted murder, rape of girlfriend….

A Louisville man faces multiple charges, including attempted murder and rape, after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. Neil Denicola, 27, appeared in court on November 20. According to police, Denicola attacked his girlfriend by choking her while she was asleep, and also engaged in other violent acts. The woman, who was covered in blood, sought help from authorities on November 19. When officers arrived at the scene on Kennison Avenue, they arrested Denicola, who was found fleeing. At the hospital, the victim reported that Denicola had strangled, hit, and bitten her, threatening to kill her and forcing her into sexual acts. Denicola later admitted to using drugs before the attack and causing serious harm to his girlfriend.Denicola also admitted to locking the bedroom door from the outside to keep his girlfriend from escaping. The woman suffered multiple injuries, including a broken rib, a damaged lung, and various cuts and bite marks. She managed to escape by climbing out of a bedroom window and sought help at a neighbor’s house.

 

  1. Denicola appeared in court on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty. His bond was set at $100,000, and his next court date is set for November 28.
