Following a fatal mid-air collision on Louisville Road, one individual was killed and several others sustained injuries….

Following a fatal airborne collision on Louisville Road Friday night, one person died and several others were injured. The Bowling Green Police Department is reconstructing the incident, which involved a white SUV that lost control, crossed into the median, and collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. The crash resulted in the death of a woman, injuries to two others, and one driver being airlifted to a trauma hospital.

 

  1. The accident occurred just before 6 p.m. near Hardy and Son Funeral Homes. The SUV, traveling north in the right lane, veered off after clipping another car and hitting a utility light pole. It then collided head-on with a southbound vehicle. The southbound car’s driver, a woman not from Bowling Green, died instantly, while the SUV’s male driver was transported to a Nashville trauma center. Minor injuries were reported for individuals in both vehicles, and a baby in the SUV was unharmed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed yet.
