In Florida, a member of the family of a wide receiver for the Detroit Lions was killed.
Maurice Alexander, a wide receiver with the Detroit Lions, has been rocked by a heartbreaking event that has affected his family. Johvan Taylor, Alexander’s 13-year-old nephew, was sadly died in a shooting incident in Florida over the weekend. According to CBS News Miami, Taylor was one of two teenagers shot on Saturday night after becoming entangled in a terrible act of violence.
Maurice Alexander Uses Social Media to Share His Grief Following the incident, Alexander expressed his sorrow on social media. He lamented the death of his baby nephew on Monday, writing, “Never been this crushed in my life.” Many people were moved by the heartfelt post because it was impossible to imagine Alexander’s anguish at losing a family member so abruptly and viciously.
In what seems to have been an unjustified attack, a group of young people were standing outside when multiple rounds of gunfire were directed at them. Alexander and his family, as well as the entire Detroit Lions community, have been profoundly affected by Taylor’s untimely demise.
